USTA Florida is pleased to announce Play Tennis Gainesville will host two separate youth summer camps beginning Monday, June 29, 2020. The camps will closely follow Play Tennis Gainesville’s safe play guidelines to ensure the safety of all camp participants.
“Participant safety is paramount at USTA Florida junior summer tennis camps,” said Frank Swope, USTA Florida Director of Tennis Management. “We have redesigned our camps and classes to limit group size and incorporate social distancing, added no-touch ball pick-up protocols, and restructured break time and cleaning regimens. We are entirely focused on our players being able to safely enjoy their experience.”
The summer camps will run for six weeks at the Joyce Oransky Tennis Center in Westside Park and will be available for children between 6-10 years of age and juniors between 11-17 years of age. Camp participants will learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun environment, supervised by USPTA Certified Professionals.
