Fall Classes, Programs Underway at Play Tennis Gainesville

School is back in session across Florida, and that means after-school tennis classes and programs have kicked off at Play Tennis Gainesville, managed by the USTA Florida Tennis Management Division.

“We at Play Tennis Gainesville are excited for all of our fall programming,” said Head Pro Christopher Champion. “All of us have been working hard to grow the game of tennis within the City of Gainesville’s communities with our passion and determination.”

   

Classes and programs are being held at Joyce Oransky Tennis Center (Westside Park), Northside Park, and TB McPherson Park.

Weekly classes/programs at Joyce Oransky Tennis Center (Westside Park):

  • Mondays – 8 & under red ball class, 12 & under green ball class, 14 & over yellow ball, adult beginner drill clinic
  • Tuesdays – Tiny Tots for ages 3-5, 10 & under orange ball
  • Wednesdays – 8 & under red ball class, 12 & under green ball class, 14 & over yellow ball
  • Thursdays – 10 & under orange ball
  • Saturdays 5 +/- adult drill clinic, adaptive tennis clinic

Upcoming events at Joyce Oransky Tennis Center (Westside Park):

  • Sept. 3, 10, 17; Oct. 1 – Family Play Clinics
  • Sept. 5 – 6-week adult beginning Love to Learn course begins
  • Sept. 6 – Root Beer & Burgers Adult Social Mixer
  • Sept. 7 – 6-week adult beginning Love to Learn course begins
  • Sept. 20 – Next Generation Junior Social

  • Thursdays – Start Quick Tennis Clinics for seniors
  • Sept. 5 – 6-week adult beginning Love to Learn course begins

  • Fridays – Aces in Motion after-school tennis, September 8 & under red ball clinic, September 10 & under orange ball clinic
  • Sept. 13 – 6-week adult beginning Love to Learn course begins
